This is a 14kt yellow gold turtle pendant slide with a boulder opal for the shell. I picked this opal from a collection from my Australian opal dealer because I immediately got inspired when I saw a turtle design in the shape and color!

The opal makes a beautiful backdrop for the seahorse by looking like rocks and water in the ocean!

My Dad introduced me to fishing, so this week I'm sharing my grand slam billfish tournament pendant in 14kt yellow gold. It features a sailfish, swordfish and marlin. I added small diamonds to the eyes for a little extra sparkle!

The center of this necklace is a baroque freshwater pearl. I designed a 14kt yellow gold frame to hold it in place with small jump rings soldered to the sides in order to attach the 4 strands of fresh water pearls. It is finished with a 14k bar slide-in clasp.

I combined the lavender colored pearl with 3 square cut amethyst with articulated links so it has movement and dangles. It creates an unusual and beautiful look.

This is a pair of 14kt yellow gold earrings with inlaid lapis lazuli and mother of pearl. The gold "flecks" or pyrite in the lapis, that is common in good quality lapis. Lapis lazuli has many healing properties and has been used in art for centuries.

This is a black pearl and diamond bracelet. I made the centerpiece to fit around the bend of the wrist. The diamonds are bezel set into the freeform, textured, 14kt yellow gold. I also made the clasp to match the pattern. After soldering on all the rings, I strung the pearls on black silk with french wire on the ends to keep the silk from fraying.

This is a 4kt yellow gold turtle pendant. I made an oval cutout in the shell and set a cabochon opal in from the back. The opal has a beautiful flash of color that mimics a turtle shell pattern.

This is a sailboat pendant I just completed. The sail is a piece of opal matrix set in a 14kt yellow gold bezel with a row of diamonds along the bottom to look like shimmering water.

This is a 14kt rose gold and diamond Anchor ring with 2 double rope bands. The opposing spirals on the bands make it look like they are moving.

This is a 14kt yellow gold fish hook wedding band that I recently completed for my customer. The fish hooks are intertwined as a symbol for the union of the couple. I like how the pattern in the background is recessed to allow the design to be high polished with a contrast.

This is a 14kt yellow gold and Boulder opal sailboat pendant. The color of the water in the Florida keys inspired me to use this opal as the sail for the piece.

This is another version of the wave necklace design that I invented. This time I added extra waves to balance out the design so I could add diamonds and have an empty space in between each one. The waves still keep coming in and we have to keep riding them so we aren't taken under.

This is a 14kt yellow gold Boulder opal necklace that I made for my showcase. The opals are odd shapes and sizes so the bezel settings were made to fit each shape. Then a ring was added to allow the opals to dangle off the chain.

This is a beautiful octopus pendant in 14kt white gold. He has blue sapphire eyes and diamonds bezel set in the curls of the tentacles. It hangs beautifully from the chain by the top tentacle.. like he is in movement. Jewelry never has to be boring!

This is a 14kt yellow gold crab pendant with an oval opal set in the center to form the body and a diamond in the claws. The opal has beautiful flashes of green, blue and pink.

This is a pair of 14kt yellow gold baroque pearl earrings that I recently finished. Each pearl is unique and different so each gold frame had to be made individually to fit the specific pearl in wax then cast into gold. I added posts and omega clips so the earrings fit snugly to the ear.

This is a 14kt yellow gold and tiger eye pendant that I made. The tiger eye is an interesting cut. It is pear shaped and has levels cut into it to give it dimension and is set in from the back.

This is a pair of Boulder opal mirror split earrings. The customer wanted them matching but one with a turtle and the other with a seahorse. The frames are handcrafted in 14kt yellow gold with omega clips on the back to insure a good fit on the ear.

This is a lighthouse pendant in sterling silver that I created for a customer. I love the fact that each lighthouse is different and they are able withstand all kinds of weather. This particular one is sculpted to look like the Manistique East Breakwater Light in Manistique, Michigan. The lighthouse structure is 38 feet tall and made from prefabricated steel plates bolted together. It's fun to recreate an actual building that exists. It was handcrafted in wax and then cast into metal. The casting turned out great with all the details.
