I'm sharing a sterling silver and 14kt yellow gold butterfly pin that will be pinned to a bride's bouquet. The gems are blue topaz that belonged to the bride's sister who passed away several years ago. The butterfly was cut out of a flat sheet of silver and the settings were soldered in place. The center setting and the antennae are gold for a bit of contrast! A sweet remembrance for the bride.

This necklace was brought to me to make 2 inches longer. I really couldn’t match the necklace part so I came up with an infinity design with diamonds to add to the center! This solved the problem with the length and added a beautiful center piece!

I just completed this magnificent fairy branch 18kt yellow gold bracelet with white gold bezels for the diamonds! It was a project that has been a work in progress for several months. We used diamonds that were taken from part of a necklace that belonged to my customer’s mother!

Here is a simple yet classic design in 14kt white gold that I created for someone who works with their hands. The bezel settings are smooth so there are no prongs to get caught on things! The center diamond is 1.24ct. and the trillion diamonds on either side weigh .25ct. each!

This is a bracelet design that I invented quite a few years ago. It is a mother and 2 children bangle bracelet that is made from 3 strands of twisted sterling silver wire that when I twist them together the wire becomes springy! Then I solder the 14kt mother and child pendant on the end and the single child pops through the center to close the bracelet! Since it is custom made I can make them in any size and amount of children!

This is a diamond engagement ring with a cushion shaped halo design set in 14kt. white gold. The center diamond is .94 ct. This was a redesign with the customer’s diamonds. I supplied the diamonds that are set in the halo.

Here are a custom pair of blue topaz and diamond earrings that I just completed! They were made to look like sailboats. This was a fun project to create!

I love the colors and shimmering of the flashes in the opals!

This is a 14kt. yellow gold 3 diamond bezel set engagement with channel set diamonds down the sides. I used the diamonds from an existing ring and added a 1/2 carat diamond to match the smaller diamond to balance the design. I like the smoothness of the bezels so there are no prongs to catch on things!

The diamonds were taken from a ring and set into individual bezels. There are hinges at each end of the diamond bar to allow movement and connections for the chain. Yet another way to repurpose existing jewelry!

The diamond is an old mine cut that is why it doesn’t look totally round. This is another example of repurposing gems from jewelry not being worn to make something new and special!

The gems are bezel set and represent the customer’s grandchildren by using their birthstones!

The cross is soldered to the left side of the chain so the cross doesn’t appear to be sideways.

This is a necklace that I made for a woman to give her cousin that she found through Ancestry.com! The chain was originally her grandmother’s and I made the two intersecting rings to symbolize family united!

This is a sterling silver pendant made with a large pear shaped Larimar with 3 London blue topaz set in bezels as accents at the top. Sort of a fantasy nautical look!

This diamond slide necklace was made from an existing 3 diamond necklace. I surrounded each larger diamond with small diamonds to create a “halo” look. They are not attached so they can slide independently. A nice way to repurpose outdated jewelry!

The hearts hang from lever wires so they have movement which I like to see!

The stones came from a circle pin that wasn’t being worn. This created new life for some very pretty tourmaline!

The opals are literally split in half to make mirror images. The deep blue with flashes of other color remind me of ocean water at night and the diamonds add little extra sparkle!

14kt white gold crisscross engagement ring, a version of a halo design.

Here is a 14kt yellow gold sapphire and diamond pendant and earrings set that my brother in law Phil Kendall commissioned me to make for my sister Ginny for their 50th wedding anniversary! The sapphires are from Kasmir and are a beautiful medium blue, bezel set with diamonds down the center bar. The pendant has an enhancer bail which opens to go over a necklace or pearls.

This engagement ring is a hexagon design set in 14kt yellow gold with diamond baguettes on either side of the center diamond. It is a clean and simple design that a wedding band will fit nicely against the side since the hexagon top is raised up a bit.

This is a 2-tone 14kt moon and star pendant with diamonds pave set in the star. I love making celestial jewelry!

The 3 slides are independent but on the chain they slide together in the front! I made this as an anniversary gift for a couple celebrating their 3rd anniversary. Each slide represents one year of marriage.

Notice the special closer… The customer has a problem with large knuckles so I created a closure with wire that snaps up to keep the ring from turning once it gets over the knuckle. It can be added to almost any ring!

This is a family Crest ring made in 18kt yellow gold. The family name is Bridges and the design was hand carved in wax then cast into gold.

This is a 14kt yellow gold garnet and diamond ring that I made several years ago. My customer brought it in to be checked and polished. The beautiful thing is that after several years it shows no signs of wear! I like to make my pieces substantial so they will last a long time.

The center is an elongated Emerald cut with a trillion cut on either side. They are all bezel set so it is smooth to wear!

14kt yellow gold bezel-set earrings that are the colors of the Chakra!! Starting at the top… amethyst, iolite, blue topaz peridot, citrine, fire opal and garnet! There are links in between each stone so they are articulated. I love this colorful design!

My customer bought the pearls on her trip to Tahiti and brought them to me to make her earrings.

The sapphire weighs 3.64 carats and is surrounded by 2.75 mm round diamonds with smaller diamonds set down the sides of the split shank. I love the design underneath the stone which is called the gallery. It allows light in under the gems.

The sapphires are from Kasmir and are a beautiful medium blue, bezel set with diamonds down the center bar. The pendant has an enhancer bail which opens to go over a necklace or pearls.

The 1.50 ct. diamonds are surrounded by smaller diamonds to create a cushion halo-look. They are set low to sit close to the ear lobe. I added threaded posts for security. I think this creates a beautiful look!

I made this ring for my high school friend's son! Congratulations to them!

My Dad introduced me to fishing, so this week I'm sharing my grand slam billfish tournament pendant in 14kt yellow gold. It features a sailfish, swordfish and marlin. I added small diamonds to the eyes for a little extra sparkle!

My customer brought in her mother’s wedding set. I removed all the diamonds to create a 14kt 2-tone diamond pendant. Now her mother can always be with her!

Each diamond is approx. .20 ct. and the pearl drop measures 10mm. The links are articulated for movement and are attached to a lever wire.

This center stone of this ring is an emerald cut Madeira Citrine. On either side are 5 diamonds channel set in a roll-over design. Then on the sides of the shank are bezel set cabochon sapphires.

The center of this necklace is a baroque freshwater pearl. I designed a 14kt yellow gold frame to hold it in place with small jump rings soldered to the sides in order to attach the 4 strands of fresh water pearls. It is finished with a 14k bar slide-in clasp.

This is a 14kt yellow gold pear shaped ruby pendant. The ruby weighs 38 ct. The geometric cutout design in the gallery allows lots of light in around the gem. It’s a nice quality ruby.

This pendant is a 14kt yellow gold pendant made for a round 68.5 ct. Alexandrite. The unusual thing about this gem is that it changes color depending on the type of light exposure. I designed the mounting to have lots of openings to let light in around the gem.

This ring is made with the gems from a wedding band and engagement ring that I had to cut off my customer's hand. I removed all the stones and designed a new more streamlined look. The oval diamond is bezel set and the alternating diamonds and sapphires are channel set down the sides.

This ring is 14kt yellow gold with 3 bands with squared corners. They are soldered together with small bars of gold in the corners so they stay stationary and make one ring.

I combined the lavender colored pearl with 3 square cut amethyst with articulated links so it has movement and dangles. It creates an unusual and beautiful look.

This is a sterling silver necklace was made for grandmothers and mothers. It has interlocking open centered discs with the child's name engraved and birthstone set into each. Then they are put on a chain to move freely.

This is a pair of 14kt yellow gold earrings with inlaid lapis lazuli and mother of pearl. The gold "flecks" or pyrite in the lapis, that is common in good quality lapis. Lapis lazuli has many healing properties and has been used in art for centuries.

This is a 14kt yellow gold and orange coral cameo ring. It was made to mimic an antique style design with all of the tiny prongs holding the cameo in place.

This is one of my bracelet links that I invented and created. I call it the "bullet" link. This one I made with 3-14kt yellow gold links and 2 white gold links in a repeating pattern. One of the things I like about this link is that it looks nice on any side as the chain rolls.

This is a pair of 18kt yellow gold Emerald and diamond earrings that I recently completed. The Emeralds are bezel set and the diamonds are channel set for a flush smooth look and dangle from lever wires.

This is a 4kt yellow gold turtle pendant. I made an oval cutout in the shell and set a cabochon opal in from the back. The opal has a beautiful flash of color that mimics a turtle shell pattern.

This is a 14kt white gold diamond and sapphire anniversary band that I recently completed. I alternated diamonds and sapphires that graduate in size with a 1/2 carat diamond in the center. The mounting is a "fish-tail" design.

For this project, I took the large center diamond out of the ring and had it recut because it had a bad chip. The recutting worked out well, the diamond only lost 9 points and was nicely restored. Then I made the new platinum diamond wedding band to fit next to the engagement ring. It curves to follow the shape of the ring.

This is an engagement ring that I made for a friend and customer who works with her hands and wanted something smooth and sturdy! The center diamond is .75 ct and bezel set with 3 diamonds channel set on each side.

My customer had her father's gold watch band, the medallion and some loose diamonds. I made the frame and side bars to incorporate them into a finished bracelet. I was pleased how well the frame matched the edge of the watch band.

This ring was designed for my customer using the gems from her mother's ring and diamonds from a bangle that belonged to her mother. The diamonds are arranged into a square cluster on top and the colored stones are channel set down the sides. It makes for a different look combining all the elements.

This is a pair of 14kt yellow gold baroque pearl earrings that I recently finished. Each pearl is unique and different so each gold frame had to be made individually to fit the specific pearl in wax then cast into gold. I added posts and omega clips so the earrings fit snugly to the ear.

This is a 14kt yellow gold and sterling silver money clip that I just completed for Gulf Stream Golf Club. This is their logo. The little golf ball is decoration but it also serves as a pin to hold the logo in place. Of course I had to add a diamond to the center of it!

This is another set of stacking rings that I recently completed. They are made in 3 colors of gold, 14kt white, rose and yellow. My customer had a bangle bracelet with the small diamonds that were used to set in the rings. Just an idea for a way to repurpose jewelry no longer being worn and enjoyed.

My shop often makes jewelry for other stores in the area so this week I'm sharing a special ring made that we made for another jeweler. The center diamond is a bezel set, fancy yellow 7.03 ct. radiant cut diamond with white quadrillion cut diamonds on either side of the center. The center diamonds are surrounded with brilliant round diamonds that taper in size down the sides.

This is a very special project that has been in the works for quite a while. My customer visited her grandmother's birthplace, Claddagh, Ireland and bought a claddagh ring which she unfortunately lost. Then her husband passed away. So as a remembrance, she decided to combine the diamonds from her engagement ring and several other pieces to make another claddagh ring, which is actually an insert ring. One of the requests was to make the ring a shiny black finish over 14kt white gold. I think this creates quite an unusual but attractive look.

This is a 14kt yellow gold and tiger eye pendant that I made. The tiger eye is an interesting cut. It is pear shaped and has levels cut into it to give it dimension and is set in from the back.

These are opal mirror splits earrings set in 14kt yellow gold with a row of pave set diamonds down one side on each to make a left and right to the pair. This happens to be one of my favorite colors and I love the touch of purple blue in the lower corners of each stone.
